This pop-rock band was founded in 2002 in Denver, CO. The group gained commercial success for its singles “Over My Head (Cable Car)” and “How to Save a Life.” Although their self-titled 2009 album did reach #1 on the Billboard charts, critical reception has been mixed. Critiques of their music have varied from hailing their music as “charming” and “appealing” to describing it as “dreary.”

Tickets to The Fray’s most recent worldwide tour were in very high demand; the tour started in January 2009, took a brief summer hiatus, and continued with a college tour throughout Fall 2009.
