American rock band The Killers formed in 2002 and hit the nation’s indie scene hard with its 2004 debut “Hot Fuss,” which featured the singles “Somebody Told Me” and “Mr. Brightside.” Largely driven by these songs, the band was able to break out of the U.S. independent scene and into the international mainstream market. The band’s popularity has also translated to its live performances, growing out of clubs and theaters and into arenas and stadiums.
