“Wicked”, a Broadway musical that debuted in 2003, is about the relationship between the famous “Wizard of Oz” characters the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch of the North, and it takes place mostly before Dorothy’s arrival from Kansas. Receiving mixed reviews in the beginning, the musical is now one of the most popular among other Broadway shows, breaking box office records around the world.

Produced by Universal Pictures and originally directed by Joe Mantello on Broadway, the musical is now playing in cities all over the globe, such as Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London’s West End, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Stuttgart. The musical has also visited over 30 cities in the US and Canada on its two North American Tours. “Wicked” has proved to be a popular and enduring money maker, consistently landing at or near the top of TicketNews’s exclusive Weekly Top Events rankings.
