Multi-platinum tween superstars The Cheetah Girls are launching a massive three-month, 50-date nationwide tour this fall. The Cheetah Girls One World Tour begins on October 8 in Austin, TX, and concludes in San Diego, CA, on December 21. The tour follows the soundtrack and third Disney Channel Original Movie, “The Cheetah Girls: One World.”

Most tickets go on sale Saturday, August 23.

“The Cheetah Girls One World” premieres August 22, with soundtrack that features 12 hip-hop, R&B and Indian-influenced tracks performed by the tween sensations. The movie’s anthem song and the soundtrack’s lead single “One World” will be featured in The Cheetah Girls’ concert set along with favorites from the first two movies and soundtracks.

The Cheetah Girls began as a 2003 Disney Channel Original Movie based on a popular book series for adolescents, written by Deborah Gregory. It only took two years for the girl group to gain a large fan base and top the soundtrack charts with a double-platinum soundtrack. When “The Cheetah Girls 2” movie made its debut in 2006, the soundtrack entered in the top ten on The Billboard 200, topped the soundtrack chart and was certified platinum.

Following the success of The Cheetah Girls 2 soundtrack and movie, the group went out on their first national tour that grossed $26 million from over 86 concert dates and broke tour merchandise records. The girl group also set a new record for the largest sales in the history of the Houston Rodeo with an impressive 73,200 tickets sold in 2007, a record previously held by Brooks & Dunn.
