The Spill Canvas this month launched a new tour with an aim to help stop the spread of HIV. The socially conscious band is partnering with mtvU’s “Pos or Not” campaign and hosting bowling parties throughout the U.S. during their summer tour. Fans are being asked to donate clothing for underprivileged people living with HIV/AIDS who are in need of support, and those donations will then be sent in a care package from The Spill Canvas, their fans, and mtvU. In turn, participants will get the chance to show off their bowling skills for the band.

Their 28-date tour started June 6 in Asbury Park, NJ and winds down June 26 in Englewood, CO. They will be hosting bowling parties in seven cities: New York, NY; Green Bay, WI; Lancaster, PA; Towson, MD; Atlanta, GA; Houston, TX; and Salt Lake City, UT either on the afternoon of the show or the previous day.

The Spill Canvas have just finished a successful run of tours, including a national jaunt with Yellowcard and, and several European dates with Plain White T’s. They are currently on their second headlining tour this year criss-crossing the country with Ludo, Steel Train, and Liam and Me. “No Really, I’m Fine,” is their third release and first major-label debut from the Sioux Falls, SD quartet.
