After launching his Biggest & Baddest Tour last year, country music star Toby Keith is adding another superlative to his roster: toughest. The summer 2009 America’s Toughest Tour kicks off June 18 at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ, and wraps September 19 at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL.

The amphitheater tour will hit 30 U.S. cities on a coast-to-coast circuit over a period of thirteen weeks. Stops include a June 10 show at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Virginia Beach, VA, a July 26 concert at Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA, an August 16 performance at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA, and a September 17 event at Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA.

More dates are expected to be added as the tour progresses. Pre-sale and public on-sale dates for tickets have not yet been announced, but will be updated on Keith’s official Web site as information becomes available.

Keith is continuing to tour behind his thirteenth studio album “That Don’t Make Me a Bad Guy.” The October 2008 release topped the country albums charts and hit No. 5 on the Billboard 200, slightly below 2007’s chart-topping “Big Dog Daddy.”

His previous Biggest & Baddest Tour launched in summer 2008, completing nearly 30 shows before the end of the year. The venture picked up again early in 2009 for another dozen dates.
