Rapper-turned-actress Queen Latifah is returning to her roots and hitting the road with a freshly announced tour of the U.S. and Canada.The fall Persona Tour promotes her latest album and launches November 1.

Canadian audiences can prepare to see their favorite dancers live when the So You Think You Can Dance Canada Tour rolls across the provinces at the end of the year. The 18-date trek features the top 10 contestants from Canada’s version of the popular reality competition, and immediately follows the conclusion of the American SYTYCD trek.

Underoath will launch into a 24-date tour of the U.S. to close out its touring season this year. The nationwide circuit begins November 20 at Rocketown in Nashville, TN, and concludes December 17 at the House of Blues in New Orleans, LA. Other highlights on the band’s map are November 25 at The Ritz in Tampa, FL; December 1 at Crocodile Rock Café in Allentown, PA; December 8 at Sokol Auditorium/Underground in Omaha, NE; December 12 at New daisy Theatre in Memphis, TN; and December 15 at La Zona Rosa in Austin, TX.

The Whigs have back-loaded their 2009 touring schedule, which features a 20-date run to close out the year. The itinerary picks up October 28 at Middle East Downstairs in Cambridge, MA, and continues through December 12 at North Star Bar in Philadelphia, PA. Along the way, the band is also slated to perform gigs on October 31 at Musica in Akron, OH; November 5 at Cannery Ballroom in Nashville, TN; November 15 at Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, OR; and November 20 at Beauty Bar in Las Vegas, NV.

Modest Mouse has a modest schedule set for a year-end UK jaunt. The indie rock crew has penned in six performances in the British Isles, from December 7 at The Academy in Dublin, IRE, through December 15 at Electric Ballroom in London, ENG. Modest Mouse’s remaining calendar includes shows on December 10 at ABC1 in Glasgow, SCO; December 11 at Arena at Butlins in Minehead, ENG; December 13 at The Ritz in Manchester, ENG; and December 14 at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire in London, ENG.

Tech N9ne will be busy through the final months of 2009 with more than 40 concerts booked across the country. The group’s schedule picks up with a show tomorrow night, October 1, at Sokol Auditorium/Underground in Omaha, NE, and the calendar stretches through November 21 at Independence Events Center in Independence, MO. Some of the other highlights for the late-year outing are October 11-12 at Wilma Theatre in Missoula, MT; October 23 at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA; November 4 at Austin Music Hall in Austin, TX; and November 16 at the State Theatre in St. Petersburg, FL.

Regina Spektor fans can continue to catch the quirky pop-rock artist in concerts across the U.S. as she extends her fall 2009 calendar through November. The singer-songwriter takes the stage next tonight, September 30, at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, and she’ll stay on the national tour trail through November 12 at Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, TX. Her planned routing includes shows on October 12 at Calvin Theater in Northampton, MA; October 26 at the House of Blues in San Diego, CA; and November 7 at Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, CO, among other dates. A single show is bound for Canada on November 2 at the Orpheum in Vancouver, BC.
