The on-again-off-again Van Halen tour is back on with 20 rescheduled shows beginning April 19 at Tiger Woods’ charity event in Las Vegas, NV. The tour goes through June 2 in Grand Rapids, MI.

Late last month, the band began postponing shows for what the press speculated could have been due to a fight involving some of the members in a Virginia bar. Those reports proved wrong as the band announced that guitarist and co-founder Eddie Van Halen was suffering from an undisclosed ailment that required medical tests. The tests were needed to define a course of treatment, but no further details were made available then, and none have been provided upon the announcement of the resumption of the tour.

All tickets for the band’s previously scheduled dates will be honored. Refunds are also available at the point of purchase.

By all accounts, the tour, which featured the return of David Lee Roth on vocals for the first time in more than 20 years, has been a big success with shows selling out all over the country and ticket sales placing it among the Top Concert draws of 2007 and 2008, according toTicketNews’ exclusive weekly rankings. The tour also received some attention because the band was reselling premium tickets to its own shows.
