Less than a month before its first tickets go on sale, the Vans Warped Tour has announced the full itinerary for its 15th annual tour of the United States and Canada. Featuring acts such as Bad Religion, NOFX and Flogging Molly, the outing is scheduled to hit nearly 50 cities across the continent.
The Warped Tour itinerary opens with a kick-off party on April 2 at Key Club in Los Angeles, CA, and officially launched June 26 at Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, CA. The touring musical festival completes its coast-to-coast circuit on August 22 at Home Depot Center in Los Angeles, CA.
The road festival will make stops along the way for events on July2 at AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX; July 21 at the Tweeter Center in Boston, MA; August 1 at First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Chicago, IL; and August 15 at The Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, WA, among other dates.
The 46-city outing will also head north for four dates in Canada: July 10 at arrow Hall in Toronto, ON; July 11 at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, QC; August 12 at Race City Speedway in Calgary, AB; and August 14 at Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver, BC.
Since its 52-band lineup announcement in December 2008, the Warped Tour has added nearly 20 more artists to the 2009 rotation. The rotating daily billing will be announced on the official Warped Tour Web site before ticket pre-sales begin on April 1.
Since its founding in 1995, the Warped Tour has become a summer touring institution, often presenting the industry’s up-and-coming acts mixed in with the extreme sports culture. Unlike previous years’ tour incarnations, the 2009 Warped Tour will feature a single main stage with the top-billed acts offering 40-minute sets throughout the day.
