London, UK – October 4, 2017- Transparent social marketplace app, Vibe Tickets has boosted its London-based team with three new appointments from within the industry.

Following the recent opening of its first London office and the announcement of the company’s £1.7m investment to date, Vibe has now appointed two senior business development managers and a senior social strategist with a focus on strengthening the company’s business alliances and boosting user engagement.

Steph Maxwell and Daniel Gould join Vibe with over 13 years’ combined experience working within the live entertainment sector, having previously worked for the likes of Ticketmaster and Sky Tickets in both the UK and European markets. As senior business development managers, both Steph and Daniel will work together building out the commercial plan, creating strategic partnerships and driving the product forward.

Chelsea Sargautis has also been appointed as senior social strategist, bringing with her over eight years’ experience in social marketing for the entertainment industry. Previous positions include content producer at digital agency, Wunderman UK, as well as social marketing manager at Nickleodeon, MTV and E! Canada. In her new role, Chelsea will be responsible for boosting engagement with and expanding the company’s current user base across all of its social channels.

Since inception in 2013, the disruptive marketplace app has revolutionised the way people buy and sell tickets for live events and share their experiences. Vibe is unique in that it allows fans to connect via its trusted, transparent and dynamic platform and has grown a following of 70,000 users. The company is currently looking to raise a further £2m investment, which would value the app at £10m.

Commenting on his appointment, Daniel Gould said: “Vibe Tickets offers a fresh, new product in what is a broken industry. Fans aren’t happy with the way the secondary ticketing market currently operates are we’re here to change that. Steph Maxwell said: “Live music has never been more profitable and the industry’s greed has resulted in fans drawing the short straw. Vibe Tickets is here to give the power back to the fans.

“I’m proud to be working towards a more rewarding future for live events fans. The team I’m joining is a talented team of individuals working together towards a mutual goal of rekindling the essence that’s great about the industry – the people.”

Cornel Lazar, marketing director said: “Since opening the London office, I’ve been recruiting the best talent from across the sector to strengthen our dynamic team. We need individuals who are invested in our mission to turn the live events industry on its head and have their fingers on the pulse when it comes to new innovations.

“Steph, Daniel and Chelsea each have profound industry experience and a strong reputation that will prove crucial in improving and raising awareness of Vibe’s offering, as well building on our early successes as a fan-first social marketplace.”
