The original line-up of 80’s glam-metal rockers Warrant will reunite for the first time in 14 years when they co-headline the 2008 Rocklahoma Festival, a four-day music fest taking place July 10-13 in Pryor, OK. The event features more than 80 bands performing on three stages, and More than 60,000 music fans are expected, according to organizers.
Warrant’s Jani Lane (vocals), Joey Allen (lead guitar), Jerry Dixon (bass), Erik Turner (guitar), and Steven Sweet (drums), will join other notable bands from the 80s and early 90s on the main stage including: LA Guns, Enuf Z Nuff, Beautiful Creatures, Armored Saint, Night Ranger, XYZ, Trixter, Pretty Boy Floyd, Lynch Mob, Bret Michaels, House of Lords, Jet Boy, Triumph, Kingdom Come and Tesla.
“We are stoked to be back together after 14 years,” the band said in a statement. “The best part will be playing live again for all the fans that never got to experience the original Warrant party band from Hollywood, CA. We also can’t wait to play for all the fans who have waited so long for this reunion. Cheers – and here we go again!”
Warrant is best known for classic MTV staples “Cherry Pie,” “Heaven” and rock anthem “The Down Boys.”
General admission 1-day tickets are $55 (plus tax and handling); General admission 3-day tickets are $120 (plus tax and handling); and VIP tickets are $350 (plus tax and handling).
Following Rocklahoma, Warrant will hit the road with Cinderella in July. Tour dates are forthcoming.
