In anticipation of the June 24 release of its first live DVD, “ZZ Top, Live From Texas,” ZZ Top will hit the road this spring starting May 2 in Bossier City, LA. With 44 shows booked so far, the trio will conclude its tour on Sept. 13 in Tinley Park, IL. Some major markets, including metropolitan New York and Los Angeles, are conspicuously absent from the itinerary.

With a running time of more than two hours, the DVD from Eagle Vision/Eagle Rock Entertainment is filled with the kind of Southern Fried sizzle ZZ Top is world-famous for. The DVD features 17 tracks of blues, boogie and hard rock.

Singer/guitarist/frontman Billy F. Gibbons, bassist Dusty Hill and drummer Frank Beard make up one of the most instantly recognizable bands in rock history. From their Houston inception nearly 40 years ago in1969, they are the only major band in history to never have a personnel change.
