Live Nation has scheduled a conference call for today, Oct. 16, at 4pm EST to discuss its new, $120 million deal with Madonna. The singer is the first to sign with the company’s new Artist Nation division.

Live Nation President and CEO Michael Rapino, Artist Nation Chairman and CEO Michael Cohl and Live Nation Chairman of Global Music Arthur Fogel will be on the call.

The deal, which will run over 10 years, could mark the future of superstar music contracts. It joins Madonna and Live Nation in a multi-faceted entertainment partnership encompassing albums, tour promotion, merchandise sales and licensing. As CD sales have slumped in recent years, more artists are looking at new ways of generating revenue, and this deal could be the blueprint of how that is accomplished.
