The holidays are right around the corner and it is always a huge live event season.
One of the most popular events around this time of year is the annual Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. The Xmas Spectacular at Radio City features the world famous Radio City Rockettes and the show will celebrate its 75th anniversary this year. Other holiday favorites in December include the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) holiday concert tour. TSO mashes together progressive rock, symphonic metal, heavy metal and classical music to render renditions of traditional Christmas songs with spectacular stage shows.
Additionally, this season features marks the premier of Cirque Du Soleil’s “Wintuk”, a winter and New York-themed tale that is sure to become a holiday favorite for the whole family.
Miley Cyrus, star of Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana” has the hottest ticket of the year, with sold out concerts this December with the Jonas Brothers as her opening act. Also on tour this month are the legendary David Lee Roth, reuniting with Van Halen for the first time in decades and will tour into 2008. Ozzy Osbourne, Keith Urban, Andrea Bocelli, Billy Joel, Tool and R. Kelly are all touring this December.
If in Las Vegas, you’ll want to catch to the hottest fight of the year as the undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr takes on the undefeated Ricky Hatton December 8th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Other Vegas events in the spotlight this month include, the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s UFC 79: Nemesis and the final shows of Celine Dion’s A New Day concert run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Broadway events this will December include the much awaited premiere of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” live musical. Kevin Kline and Jennifer Gardner will continue in the critically acclaimed “Cyrano De Bergerac.”
