Kenny G, acclaimed as the biggest-selling instrumental musician of the modern era, will tour behind his forthcoming release, “Rhythm and Romance,” due Feb. 5 via Starbucks Entertainment and Concord Records. The tour kicks off Feb. 22 in Denver with the initial leg winding down March 26 in Miami.

The album marks G’s first ever CD of Latin love songs and will be available in traditional retail outlets as well as Starbucks company-operated locations in the U.S. and Canada. “Rhythm and Romance” also marks his debut release for Starbucks Entertainment and Concord Records, the same team that co-released Ray Charles’ “Genius Loves Company” and Sergio Mendes’ “Timeless.”

“Rhythm and Romance” combines elements of samba, salsa and bossa nova love songs anchored by G’s signature saxophone melodies. The album also features some of the best Latin musicians including Alex Acuña of Weather Report (drums), Ramon Stagnaro (guitar), John Pena (bass), Michito Sanchez (percussion) Enrique Martinez (accordion), Nathan East (bass), Paulino Da Costa (percussion) and producer Walter Afanasieff (piano). The album also features guest vocals by rising Chilean singer Barbara Munoz and Spanish-speaking pop/rock sensation Camila.
