Def Leppard will continue its trek across North America with a series of 19 headlining arena shows beginning March 17 in Greensboro, NC and ending April 26 in Chula Vista, CA. From June 2007 through September 2007, the group mounted a 50-date arena tour, regularly selling out 20,000-seat venues, according to tour producer Live Nation.

“Def Leppard is consistently one of the most exciting and successful bands we work with year in and year out,” said Bruce Kapp, Live Nation senior vice president of Touring. “There is no better way to kick off our touring season than with Def Leppard.”

The British rockers, who have sold 65 million albums worldwide, are set to release a new studio album in the spring. They are one of only five rock bands that can claim two separate, original 10 million-plus selling albums (certified “Diamond”) in the U.S. The others are The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Van Halen.
