Veteran rockers Def Leppard, Styx and REO Speedwagon have hooked up for an 18-date joint tour that will hit the road March 27 in Greensboro, NC and wrap on April 26 in Chula Vista, CA.
“We played with Def Lep in Indianapolis, Columbus, and Pittsburgh last summer, and drew over 20,000 people at every show,” said REO’s lead singer Kevin Cronin in a statement.
Since the release of their first record in 1971, REO Speedwagon has sold more than 40 million albums, including the monumental 10 million-seller, “Hi Infidelity.” Their latest album, “Find Your Own Way Home,” was released last year.
Def Leppard is one of only five groups with two original albums selling more than 10 million copies: “Pyromania” and “Hysteria.” They will play several European rock festivals this year, and an arena tour of the UK with co-headliners Whitesnake.
In the 1970s and 1980s, Styx had hits “Come Sail Away,” “Babe,” “Lady,” “Suite Madame Blue,” “Mr. Roboto,” and “Renegade.”
