The Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, IN has entered into a multi-year alliance with AEG Live to develop and program a new 3,200-capacity entertainment venue that’s scheduled to open in August as part of a $500 million casino expansion project. AEG Live will book and co-promote concerts in addition to acting as a marketing advisor for the venue.

The Venue at Horseshoe Casino will be a fully flexible space with the ability to host intimate shows, corporate groups, and fully seated theatrical and sporting events. The entire lower level seats are retractable and can be scaled to create a variable general admission floor. It will also features six VIP boxes, with three rows of seats and a salon that features couches, plasma televisions and other amenities. At full general admission capacity, the facility will hold 3,200 guests with standard seating for 2,300 plus a suite area with an additional 200 seats.

“We are thrilled to introduce The Venue at Horseshoe Casino to the Chicago area and are confident that AEG Live will play a significant role in its success,” Rick Mazer, Indiana regional president and general manager of Horseshoe, said in a statement. “We look forward to working with AEG Live to bring top-level performers and full-scale shows to the new Horseshoe.”
