Billy Bragg, nicknamed the “Bard of Barking,” is bringing his blend of folk music, punk rock and protest songs to the U.S. and Canada this month for a limited tour of seven cities. Bragg will perform songs from his highly acclaimed new album released in April, called “Mr. Love & Justice” (Anti-Records), his first solo album in six years.
His June 7 show in Portland, OR and June 13 show in Minneapolis, MN have already sold out.
Bragg recently completed a string of dates in Europe that also included a songwriting workshop and performance at the Walton Penitentiary in Liverpool, England as part of his Jail Guitar Doors foundation, a charity that brings musical instruments to prison inmates.
