The first few dates of Coldplay’s North American tour have been rescheduled due to production delays. “We’re very sorry, but we promise you a show worthy of your patience and understanding when we start in mid-July,” the group said in a statement. Tickets already purchased for these shows will be honored on the new dates; refunds are available at point of purchase.
Coldplay will now launch their Live Nation produced Viva La Vida North American tour with two sold-out shows at The Forum in Los Angeles, CA on July 14-15. Fans snapped up an impressive 30,000 tickets in under 45 minutes time when tickets went on sale on June 7.
Tickets for the tour are scheduled to go on sale this weekend in San Jose, CA; Chicago, IL; Montreal, QUE; Toronto, ONT; and Boston. MA.
To celebrate the Viva La Vida tour and their upcoming album of the same name scheduled for release June 17, the band will play free concerts in London, ENG on June 16 at the Brixton Academy and in New York, NY on June 23 at Madison Square Garden. Tickets for these shows have already been given away via a contest.
Coldplay will also perform on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” on June 26 and on NBC’s the “Today” show on June 27.
