The triple bill of rockers Collective Soul, veteran alt-rockers Live and long-running jam band Blues Traveler will hit the amphitheatre circuit this summer beginning July 4 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO.
The tour is scheduled to run through August 17 at Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA, and the three acts are set to perform many of their chart-topping hits from their respective careers.
“It’s great to be out with Live again this summer, and we’re excited to have Blues Traveler join us,” Collective Soul’s principal songwriter and lead singer Ed Roland said in a statement.
Collective Soul’s latest CD, “Afterwords,” debuted in the Top 25 on Billboard’s Album Chart and was a Top 10 album on iTunes during its first week of release.
Live’s latest album, the 12-track “Radiant Sea: A Collection of Bootleg Rarities and Two New Songs,” is only being sold at concerts and on its website.
“Everything is changing constantly, and Live is just trying to maintain our commitment to quality music and shows, but also change with the times and the technology,”said lead singer and frontman Ed Kowalczyk in a recent interview with FierceDeveloper.com. “We’re keeping all of our options open right now. I think it’s obvious that the future is now and that technology is offering up ways to connect to our fans that we could never have imagined 15 or so years ago when we started recording and touring.”
Blues Traveler continues to support last year’s “Cover Yourself,” a re-recording of fan favorites with mostly acoustic arrangements.
