Country singer Sara Evans, the 2006 Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year, kicks off her summer tour on June 28 in Richland Center, WI and performs through September 27 in Owenton, KY. She will be playing fairs, festivals, casinos and theaters.
Evans will be promoting her “Greatest Hits” album released last October, which opened at No. 8 on The Billboard 200 and reached No. 3 on the Top Country Albums chart. Her last studio album, 2005’s platinum-selling “Real Fine Place,” topped the country albums chart and produced four hit singles: “Cheatin’,” “You’ll Always Be My Baby,” “Coalmine” and “Real Fine Place.”
On June 14, she married former University of Alabama quarterback Jay Barker, who currently works as a sports radio host.
“It was a fairy-tale wedding,” Evans said to People magazine.
