Pop-rock sensations the Jonas Brothers, who tapped <href=”https://www.ticketnews.com/jonas-brothers-tour-taps-burger-king”>Burger King as a tour co-sponsor in May, also named Verizon Wireless as a co-sponsor for their current “Burning Up” tour. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed; the tour is being promoted by Live Nation.
In addition to providing exclusive music and video, including live versions of some of the Jonas Brothers’s hits, Verizon Wireless is also giving fans a chance to meet the band. Verizon Wireless customers who download Jonas Brothers’ songs, purchase ringtones or ringback tones from their V CAST-capable phones will be entered to win a pair of bar-coded mobile tickets to see one of the Jonas Brothers’s concerts.
Winners will be selected through various local promotions in each participating tour city.
“We are totally excited to kick off our ‘Burning Up’ tour with Verizon Wireless,” said Kevin Jonas in a statement. We look forward to connecting with our fans in cool, new ways through their mobile phones and, of course, in person at our shows very soon.”
In addition, Verizon Wireless customers can use V CAST Video to view 10 exclusive episodes of “Band in a Bus” — short mobisodes that capture the energy and excitement of the Jonas Brothers recording their new album. Each episode is between two and three minutes and follows the band at work and at play, capturing the band’s creative process.
Joining the band on tour are Demi Lovato, best known for her role as Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel Original Movie, “Camp Rock,” and Avril Lavigne for nine shows from July 22-August 2.
