Singer/songwriter Juliana Hatfield is celebrating the August 19th release of her 10th solo album, “How To Walk Away,” and the September 29 publication of her memoir, “When I Grow Up” (Wiley & Sons), with a U.S. tour.
The tour launches September 9 at IOTA in Washington, DC. Dates have been issued through October 23 with more to be announced. She will perform October 23 at New York’s Housing Works Bookstore Café as part of the CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival 2008.
Hatfield will cross the pond on October 10 for an appearance at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, ENG, where she will provide a highly personal look at her life, weaving passages from “When I Grow Up,” interspersed with songs from throughout her career.
The album’s first single, “This Lonely Love,” features Richard Butler (The Psychedelic Furs) on vocals and went for adds at radio on July 28. The album, released on Hatfield’s own Ye Olde Records (distributed by RED), was produced by Andy Chase (of alt-rock/pop band Ivy).
