There are two types of Kenny Rogers‘s tours: traditional and seasonal and both will include many of his hits. Rogers has planned his annual Christmas tour with Christmas songs and hits to kick off on November 16 in Victoria, BC and to wind down on December 19 in Uncasville, CT. The 25 shows include four nights in Rama, ONT and two nights in Atlantic City, NJ-both in casinos. He will be performing in 13 Canadian cities on this leg of the tour.
Before the Christmas themed tour, Rogers has lined up 25 concerts starting on July 31 in Windsor, ONT and concluding in Great Falls, MT. After the seasonal tour, Rogers kicks off 2009 on January 24 in Ft. Worth, TX and finishes up 14 shows later in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on March 25, when he takes a pause. There are six Irish concerts planned in five cities.
Rogers’ last album “Water & Bridges” was released in 2006 and reached No. 14 on The Billboard 200 and No. 5 on the country albums chart, making it his highest-charting album in more than 23 years. Over the years, Rogers has issued numerous best of collections while his DVD “The Journey” chronicles concert footage and a career-spanning video biography.
Rogers started his professional career in 1958 and has earned 20 platinum album certifications, 22 No. 1 hits and record sales topping 105 million units worldwide.
