Illness has sidelined G. Love & Special Sauce on two shows of their summer tour: August 20-21.
The group will not perform at their August 20 show at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC. Supporting acts John Butler Trio and Tristan Prettyman will still perform. However, the August 21 at Koka Booth Amphitheater in Cary, NC, is completely cancelled. Refunds are available for both shows at the original point of purchase.
According to the band’s Web site, the rest of the shows are intact. The next play date is August 22 in Atlanta, GA, at Chastain Park Amphitheatre. The tour continues through September 19 in Santa Barbara, CA, at the Santa Barbara Bowl.
The alternative hip-hop trio is currently touring in support of their 2008 release on Brushfire Records, “Superhero Brother.” Founded in 1993, G. Love & Special Sauce have released 10 albums over the course of their careers.
