The three-day YarmonyGrass Music Festival is set to enter its third year with its strongest jamgrass line-up ever. The August 15-17 event has relocated to a much larger venue at Copper Mountain Resort in Frisco, CO, located 75 miles outside Denver.

The term “jamgrass” refers to the innovation collaboration between jam artists and progressive bluegrass musicians. This year’s headliners include Keller Williams and the WMDs; Railroad Earth (two nights); Hot Buttered Rum; Peter Rowan & Friends; and Strings for Industry, featuring Darol Anger, Tye North, Scott Law, and special guest Michael Kang.

Though a String Cheese Incident is not scheduled for the festival, many of the original members’ current projects are slated to perform. These groups include The Emmitt-Nershi Band, Kyle Hollingsworth, Honkytonk Homeslice Electric (with Keith Moseley and Christian Teele), and EOTO with Michael Kang.

Produced by Pure Productons Presents, the festival explores the roots of jamgrass and cultivates its development for future generations of music lovers. It also serves as a tribute to the influence and legacy of groundbreaking Colorado bands who have created their own brands of music via rootsy song-writing, cross-genre exploration, and musicianship.
