AVP Hot Winter Nights Tour to heat up 2009

If you got hooked on beach volleyball during the Summer Olympics, there’s good news: Indoor beach volleyball is coming to an arena near you with the national 2009 AVP Hot Winter Nights Tour.

The tour of AVP pro beach volleyball, in partnership with AEG, will kick off January 15, and run through February 21. Each stop will consist of a three-hour round robin tournament as well as an indoor beach party.

Each event will consist of eight AVP athletes including members of Team USA’s Olympic beach volleyball team, current AVP Crocs Tour superstars and other nationally renown beach volleyball pros.

“We are thrilled to be able to continue to bring world-class beach volleyball to all corners of the United States,” Leonard Armato, CEO and commissioner of the AVP Crocs Tour and AVP Hot Winter Nights Tour, said in a statement. “We are excited about the new venues on the tour this year, and so pleased to return to others.”
