Holly Golightly isn’t just a silver screen character brought to life by Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” She’s also a London-based folk rocker ready to storm North America with a string of late 2008 concerts as a part of the duo Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs.

The 28-date trek kicks off on November 6 at the IOTA Club & Café in Arlington, VA, and wraps December 11 at The Earl in Atlanta, GA. The coast-to-coast circuit includes a November 10 gig at the Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, MA, a November 15 performance at Subterranean in Chicago, IL, and a December 1 show at The Casbah in San Diego, CA.

Golightly and her longtime bandmate Lawyer Dave (a.k.a. The Brokeoffs) are touring in support of their second official album, “Dirt Don’t Hurt,” released October 14. The record is a follow-up to their 2007 debut “You Can’t Buy a Gun When You’re Crying.”

In preparation for their tour, Golightly and Dave plan to relocate to backwoods Georgia, according to a statement released by the pair. “The original idea was to live somewhere rural, easy and warm. Georgia is all those things and more,” Golightly explained in the statement. “For [me], it resembles England enough to feel familiar and for Dave it resembles [his native] Texas enough to keep his gun collection. Future plans for the farm include moonshining, recording studio, miniature animal ranching, illegal architecture, and founding the one true church.”

Outside of the Brokeoffs, Golightly has released more than 15 live and studio albums, LPs and singles. Her efforts have varied from her recordings with all-girl band Thee Headcoatees to her collaborations with cult songwriter Billy Childish and mainstream alt-rockers The White Stripes.
