Today’s tour recap includes some of the day’s latest breaking itinerary updates and announcements as compiled by TicketNews on November 20, 2008.

Jonny Lang still has the blues, and will rock through early 2009 to prove it. His last concert of ’08 is slated for November 28 at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA, but he’ll be back on the road by January 29, at the latest, with another House of Blues show in Chicago, IL. He’ll end the early year run at the same venue in another city with a February 28 gig in Dallas, TX. Other highlights for Lang include a February 14 show at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, CT, as well as a February 19 concert at Florida Theatre in Jacksonville, FL.

Broken Social Scene has five more shows left this year before taking a break from the road for the holidays, but next year, the indie rockers will be back with at least seven new shows, starting with a January 30 concert at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX, and continuing through two shows in Vancouver, BC: first on February 6 with Tegan & Sara at the Orpheum and then on February 12 at Queen Elizabeth Theatre for the Cultural Olympiad Countdown Concert. Other stops next year include a January 31 concert at Bass Concert Hall in Austin, TX, and a February 5 gig at Showbox SoDo in Seattle, WA.

Ryan Adams has two solo gigs in the UK before hitting the road with Oasis in December for a 11-date run of North America. After completing that run, Adams has four shows in Australia (January 25 at Metropolis Concert Club in Fremantle through January 30 at Forum Theatre in Melbourne) and two shows in New Zealand (February 3 at The Opera House in wellington and February 4 at Powerstation in Auckland). After completing his overseas stints, the rocker has at least one more show in the States slated for the end of the month on February 28 at Brady Theater in Tulsa, OK.

Styx has unveiled plans for at least 20 U.S. gigs in the New Year, following the band’s December 31 show at the Fiesta Bowl Block Party in Tempe, AZ. The 2009 run kicks off January 23 at Genesee Theatre in Waukegan, IL, and runs through April 25 at French Lick Resort & Casino in French Lick, IN, as well as a solitary show on October 9 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, MS. Highlights include a January 30-31 run at Island Resort & Casino in Harris, MI, and a February 15 gig at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, NV, as well as a March 28 concert at Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI.

Donavon Frankenreiter recently announced a new run of West Coast dates to follow his current tour of Europe and future jaunt across Australia and New Zealand. The surf rocker begins his U.S. run on February 11 with a gig at The Loft in La Jolla, CA, and continues performing through March 14 at Fox Theatre in Boulder, CO. Frankenreiter’s trek includes stops on February 18 at Soho Restaurant & Music Club in Santa Barbara, CA, as well as a February 21 gig at The Independent in San Francisco, and a March 11 concert at Belly Up in Aspen, CO.
