Matisyahu has been rapping his way to stardom over the past few years, and the remainder of 2008 is no different. The singer-songwriter continues on the road tonight (November 4) at the Burruss Auditorium in Blacksburg, VA, and performs previously announced shows through a December 18 concert at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT. Matisyahu will then return to New York for two separate four-night runs at city venues. First comes Webster Hall in New York City on December 21-23 and 25; then the rapper makes a run of it at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn from December 27-30.

Los Lobos performed the national anthem one night of the most recent World Series and have two upcoming gigs at Disney World (November 8-9). If that weren’t enough, the rockers have added a handful of new dates to their 2009 calendar. On January 22 the group plays the Kingsbury Hall in Salt Lake City, UT, followed by three new shows in March: first on March 6 at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, CA, then on March 7 at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe in Stateline, NV. In addition to their previously announced gigs, the Los Lobos also have two new shows the next month: a festival on April 26 in downtown Houston, TX, and April 29 at the California Theatre of Performing arts in San Bernadino, CA.

Up-and-coming Colbie Caillat has a month-long tour of the U.S. on the books for December. The jaunt begins December 5 at Riverwind Casino in Norman, OK, and wraps before the holidays on December 17 at the Gwinnett Center Arena in Atlanta, GA. Caillat’s trek focuses mainly on the Southern states — with a December 8 did at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX, and a December 11 gig at Saenger Theatre in Mobile, AL. However, the singer-songwriter has two Northeast dates scheduled for December 6 at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ, and December 16 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC.

Andre Rieu is known for making beautiful music — and for his historic Stradivarius. The musician will showcase both in 2009 with a three-month trek across North America. Most venues have not been announced, but dates and cities are set with an April 17 opener in Toronto, ON, and a June 25 closing at the USANA Ampitheatre in West Valley City, UT. Rieu is also scheduled to perform in New York City (April 23), Philadelphia (April 28), Detroit (May 19), Omaha (May 25), Los Angeles (June 19) and Las Vegas (June 24), among other places.

Ozomatli is on the road currently, but the Latin group is still adding dates to the itinerary. The next show is set for November 5 at Wilma Theatre in Missoula, MT, and continues through a November 15 gig at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, CA. The highlight for that run is a November 8-9 run at the Showbox at The Market in Seattle, WA. But that’s not it for Ozomatli — the group plays on with several mid-December runs in California: December 11-14 at The Fillmore in San Francisco, and December 18-20 at the House of Blues in West Hollywood.

Shwayze has a block of new shows lined up to take the group through the end of the year. The next performance is slated fro November 9 at the School of Rock in South Hackensack, NJ, with more concerts following through the December 22 close at Agora Theatre in Cleveland, OH. Highlights include a November 19 gig at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, RI, a November 24 concert at the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, CA, and a December 18 show at Station 4 in St. Paul, MN. Shwayze will appear in concert with Metro Station on November 20 at the Showbox at The Market in Seattle, WA.
