Escondido, CA-based software company FurrySoft has launched the first iPhone application for buying tickets called Tiggits 1.0. The free app is available to download from iTunes and also works with Apple’s iTouch iPod.

The application incorporates direct access to TicketNetwork’s extensive, billion-dollar inventory of tickets to North American events, without first having to log into a Web browser.

According to Eddy Martinez, FurrySoft’s chief marketing officer, the user experience adheres to Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines. (See video below) After opening the app, Tiggits offers four distinctive tabs on the iPhone screen, Featured, Top 25, Search and Info. Featured displays information on popular events; Top 25 displays the current most popular performances in the country; Search helps users find venues, performances and other information; and Info shows details and tips on how to use the app, and offers customer service and support numbers and information.

“We spent an incredible amount of time working with TicketNetwork to ensure the online user experience transitioned to the iPhone perfectly. Without sacrificing vital information, including seating chart and seat information, consumers can make the best decision for their entertainment dollar in real time via their iPhones and iPod Touch. Users can also visit the Tiggits Web site for an instructional video and a step-by-step guide with screen images of valuable information.”

Transactions are completed without exiting the app, and for security those transactions are encrypted over 3G, Edge and wireless internet connections that protect consumer information and privacy. FurrySoft selected TicketNetwork, parent company of TicketNews, because of “the company’s extensive technology advances and track record as a leader in the secondary ticket market.”

“We want our customers to know that their purchases are safe, protected against fraud and are guaranteed. We went to great lengths to make sure customers get exactly what they expected on the iPhone and iPod Touch.” said Martinez. “Ticket resellers are screened and rated on the accuracy of ticket descriptions and speedy deliveries.”
