Now entering its 20th year, Warren Haynes Presents: The Christmas Jam will expand for the first time ever to two nights — December 12 and 13 — at the Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, NC. As is the tradition, all proceeds from the Christmas Jam will be donated to Habitat For Humanity.

The Christmas Jam’s founder, guitarist Haynes, is best known as the co-founder of Gov’t Mule and a long time member of the Allman Brothers Band.

In a press statement, Haynes explained that the Jam used to donate its proceeds to “whatever charity we felt like.” However, he continued, “As the event grew and we became aware of Habitat For Humanity, we settled on them because we believe in the organization and know the money goes where its supposed to. …When your work is music, it’s easy and fun to give back.”

Every year, Haynes opens the event with a brief solo jam and later performs a set with Gov’t Mule, as well. Other performers booked for the 20th anniversary include the Allman Brothers Band, the Derek Trucks Band, Steve Earle, Joan Osborne, Travis Tritt, Johnny Winter and many others.

Christmas Jam By Day, which debuted last year, will be back with its successful daytime concerts, featuring many of the aforementioned performers as well as some of the best and hottest new bands in the country, an art show, and movie screenings. The 20th anniversary celebration will also feature its first Christmas Jam Comedy Show hosted by Lewis Black.

Presales for single-day, two-day and VIP tickets begin today (November 5) at 12 p.m. (EST) through Christmas Jam Ticketing, with public onsales following on November 15 at 10 a.m. (EST). Tickets are priced at $55 with a $1 service fee, according to the office Christmas Jam Web site.

The extremely limited VIP ticket packages are also available starting today, priced at $499. The packages include tickets to both nights of the Christmas Jam, and entrance to the Pre-Jam and all Jam By Day events, as well as the option to buy a discounted ticket to the comedy show.

Included in the ticket price, VIP ticket holders will be able to enter the Civic Center 15 minutes prior to door time so they can select their own seats, have access to a special hospitality room inside the Civic Center with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a private cash bar, and receive a VIP exclusive 20th Anniversary Christmas Jam t-shirt and commemorative tote bag.
