Soul music icon Seal has filled out his spring tour itinerary with plans for more than 20 concerts across the U.S. and Canada. The crooner’s trek begins with a March 31 show at The Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, MN, and continues through a May 6 gig at Nokia Theatre at LA Live in Los Angeles, CA.
Highlights for the outing include an April 1 performance at the Civic Opera House in Chicago, IL, an April 11 concert at the Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ, an April 16 set at Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY, and an April 29 event at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, TX.
During his run of the theater circuit, Seal will take a two-date detour into the Great White North. Canadian concerts are penciled in for April 3 at The Colosseum at Caesars in Windsor, ON, and April 4 at Massey Hall in Toronto, ON.
Seal is touring behind his sixth studio album, “Soul,” released early in November 2008. A compilation of soul music classics, the record hit No. 13 on the Billboard 200 and reached the No. 4 position on the R&B charts.
The performer launched his solo career with his 1991 eponymous album, but his breakthrough success came in the form of his second eponymous release. Sometimes referred to as “Seal II,” the 1994 record included the Gold-certified single “Kiss From A Rose,” which topped the Hot 100 chart after appearing in the “Batman Forever” film soundtrack.
