Cher has announced the final stretch of shows for this year during her Las Vegas residency engagement. The singer and actress began headlining the 4,100-seat Colosseum at Caesars Palace in May 2008 under a contract that covers approximately 200 shows over a three-year period.

The pop icon has added shows September 19 through December 20, continuing to perform four days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Following her upcoming spring performances, Cher will break for the summer, returning in September to launch the year-end engagements.

Cher kicked off her 2009 residency in February. She was forced to cancel her final 2008 performances on October 3-4, as well as a show from the previous weekend, due to an illness that was later revealed to be asthma-related bronchitis.

Her 90-minute extravaganza features songs spanning her unparalleled career that spans 25 albums and more than 100 million records sold worldwide. AEG Live produces the show, which is choreographed by Doriana Sanchez and designed by Bob Mackie.
