Cher has announced the final stretch of shows for this year during her Las Vegas residency engagement. The singer and actress began headlining the 4,100-seat Colosseum at Caesars Palace in May 2008 under a contract that covers approximately 200 shows over a three-year period.

The pop icon has added shows September 19 through December 20, continuing to perform four days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Following her upcoming spring performances, Cher will break for the summer, returning in September to launch the year-end engagements.

Cher kicked off her 2009 residency in February. She was forced to cancel her final 2008 performances on October 3-4, as well as a show from the previous weekend, due to an illness that was later revealed to be asthma-related bronchitis.
