Without a line-up confirmed, Lollapalooza tickets went on sale three weeks ago, but artists have now been officially announced. Depeche Mode, Tool, The Killers, Jane’s Addiction and the Beastie Boys, leaked earlier in the Chicago Tribune, will headline the longest running alternative music festival from August 7-9 in Grant Park in Chicago, IL.

Also confirmed among the more than 100 performers are Kings of Leaon, Lou Reed, Ben Harper and Relentless7, Thievery Corporation, Snoop Dogg, Rise Against, Andrew Bird, TV on the Radio, Vampire Weekend, The Decemberists, Neko Case, STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9), Animal Collective, Band of Horses, Of Montreal and Arctic Monkeys. The complete artist line-up can be found on the festival’s Web site.

The $175 early bird three day pass has sold out. Advance three day passes are still available at $190. The regular three day pass, price still to be determined, will go on sale after the advance passes sell out. Lolla Lounge VIP passes are $805; private luxury cabanas are also available.

Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell, who will headline the festival with Jane’s Addiction for the first time since the festival’s 1991 debut, is bringing back his dance/rave tent, billed this year as Spinning at Perry’s. The DJs are Bassnectar, MSTRKRFT, Simian Mobile Disco, DeadMau5, Boys Noise, KiD CuDi, Crookers, A-Trak, Hercules and Love Affair (DJ set), The Bloody Beetroots (DJ set), LA Riots, Kaskade, The Glitch Mob, Hollywood Holt, Rye, He Say She Say, Car Stereo, Dark Wave Disco, Monepenny, Yello Fever and Animal Collective (DJ set).
