Sonny Landreth, Del McCoury Band, Iron and Wine, Tom Rush and Rebirth Brass Band are the featured performers for the 48th annual Philadelphia Folk Festival to be held August 14-16 on Old Pool Farm near Schwenksville, PA.

Justin Townes Earle, Tony Trischka, Langhorne Slim, Enter The Haggis, Ellis Paul, Sara Hickman and Alela Diane are also scheduled to perform. The three-day extravaganza of traditional and contemporary music also includes dance, crafts, camping and children’s activities.

“We have a couple more world-class acts; I mean major headliners, that we can’t announce just yet, so stay tuned!” teased Jesse Lundy of Point Entertainment, the festival’s producer, in a statement.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased through the festival Web site. Daily event tickets with Early Bird pricing start at $44. Three-day tickets and camping are $145 in tent camping and $170 in vehicle camping. Kids, ages 12 through 16, will again be eligible for the special youth ticket, allowing them into the grounds for half the regular gate price, when accompanied by an adult.

The campground is considered the ultimate folk festival experience with a 40-acre living room where jamming will be encouraged.
