Fresh off the road after completing a round of early 2009 concerts, Rascal Flatts will keep up the momentum with a new batch of dates across the United States this summer. The Unstoppable Tour hits the road on June 5 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Maryland Heights, MO, and is booked through October 18 at Konocti Field Amphitheater in Kelseyville, CA.
The outing is currently set to visit 23 cities from coast-to-coast, though more concert announcements are expected to fill several large gaps in the itinerary. Highlights for the 2009 run include a June 14 concert at Woodlands Pavilion in The Woodlands, TX, a July 18 performance at Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL, an August 9 gig at Crew Stadium in Columbus, OH, and a September 12 show at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA.
Ticket sales are currently open for select dates on the summer 2009 leg of the tour; specific sale information can be found on the official Rascal Flatts Web site. The Unstoppable Tour is expected to continue through 2010 under sponsorship from JC Penney.
Rascal Flatts is touring in support of the group’s sixth studio album, “Unstoppable,” scheduled for release on April 7. The disc is a follow-up to 2007’s “Still Feels Good,” the trio’s third consecutive release to top both the Billboard 200 and country albums charts.
The pop-country group recently completed their long-running Bob That Head Tour on March 14. The outing launched in June 2008 and featured supporting sets by rising country starlet Taylor Swift and pop-country crossover artist Jessica Simpson.
