Cárdenas Marketing Network, a Latin music marketing and sponsorship agency, and Billboard magazine have teamed up to present Latin music concerts next year at intimate venues in Miami, FL; Los Angeles, CA; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; and Houston, TX.

The acts, venues and dates have not been announced yet, but it is expected to launch next February. The culmination of the series will be the 2010 Billboard Latin Music Awards, which will be entering its 21st year.

Tickets will be available through sponsors’ promotions.

Participating artists are expected to be among the finalists for the Billboard Latin Music Awards; the tour is expected to help promote the event in major U.S. Latin markets. This year’s finalists included Wisin y Yandel, Aventura, Flex, Jenni Rivera, Mana, Daddy Yankee and Enrique Iglesias.

Billboard already publishes a few Latin music special additions a year. The new series will work to increase sales as well as public awareness.

Cebele Marquez, sponsorship manager for the magazine, added, “The Billboard Latin Music Concert Series is a perfect opportunity to expand our footprint in the Latin music market, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the Billboard Latin Music Award finalists leading up to the awards show.”
