As they get closer to the official launch of their 2009 summer tour, the members of reunited rock crew No Doubt extend their plans for the run. Over the course of the past few weeks, about 10 new shows have been announced and confirmed for their reunion.

In the middle of their previously announced 2009 summer tour itinerary, No Doubt added a June 22 performance at Turning Stone Casino Event Center in Verona, NY, and confirmed a previously announced June 26 show at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ, among other dates.

A handful of new shows have also been tacked on later in the summer. No Doubt will now hit the stage on July 22 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA, only to return the following week for additional shows on July 27-28. A previously confirmed two-night stand at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA, has also been extended to four shows, running from July 31 to August 4.

No Doubt’s first performance together this year was a headlining set on May 3 at the Bamboozle Festival in East Rutherford, NJ. More than 50 shows are scheduled through the new end date of August 11 at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, HI.

Members of the official No Doubt Tour Club can access pre-sales on May 4 for the new August 11 show in Honolulu, HI, and May 5 for No Doubt’s May 26 concert in Holmdel, NJ. Public on-sales for both dates begin May 9. As TicketNews previously reported, the band has set up a number of security guards in an attempt to make its ticket sales “scalper-proof”.

No Doubt had previously been on hiatus since 2005 while Gwen Stefani pursued a solo career and started a family with husband Gavin Rossdale, former frontman of ’90s post-grunge band Bush. The band — comprising vocalist Stefani, guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Adrian Young and drummer Tony Kanal — is also working on its first studio album since 2001’s “Rock Steady.” The untitled project will be ready for release sometime in 2010, according to a report from MTV News.
