Summer tour announcements from the Flaming Lips and Regina Spektor have top billing in the daily tour recap for June 23, as compiled by TicketNews.

Psychedelic rock crew Flaming Lips has announced a brief tour of United States this August. Another one-month venture follows in September with Russian-born singer and pianist Regina Spektor on the road behind her recent release “Far.”

In other news, the first ever Epicenter Festival is due to hit Pomona, CA, this year on August 22 with headline sets from Tool and Linkin Park, among others. Much later in the year, Green Day will head to Australia and New Zealand for a brief tour, which will implement anti-scalping measures for all ticket sales.

Those are the complete reports for this Tuesday. If that’s not enough to satiate your hunger for concert and tour dates, read on for some of the day’s other itinerary highlights in brief:

The Psychedelic Furs will be hitting the road in early fall for nearly 30 North American concerts with tour companions Happy Mondays. The outing runs from September 8 at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL, and ends October 15 at Olympia de Montreal in Montreal, QC. Itinerary highlights include a September 11 concert at Boulder Theater in Boulder, CO, a September 18 show at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA, a September 26 performance at the House of Blues in Houston, TX, an October 6 gig at 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, and an October 9 event at Roseland Ballroom in New York, NY.

Atmosphere is in line to launch its When God Gives You Ugly Tour in the U.S. this summer, with support from Eyedea and Abilties. The group has more than 20 dates scheduled for the run, including four festival appearances at 10,000 Lakes Festival (July 23), Lollapalooza (August 8), Epicenter Festival (August 22) and the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival (August 30). In between all the festival gigs, Atmosphere will perform on July 27 at Webster Hall in New York, NY; July 31 at Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale, FL; August 14 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO; and August 18 at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, NV.

Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire have added just a couple dates to their current co-headline summer tour. The new shows are lined up for August 28 at PNC Bank Arts center in Holmdel, NJ, and August 30 at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY, which is currently the last regular concert appearance on the calendar for the pair of veteran rock bands. The two bands will hit the stage next for a concert tonight, June 23, at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN, after which they have more than 20 performances yet to come.

Keb’ Mo’ has unveiled a new late fall tour of North America that stands at nearly 30 dates. The trek picks up October 14 at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH, and continues through November 25 at Moore Theatre in Seattle, WA. Other scheduled gigs include an October 21 show at Nokia Theatre Times Square in New York, NY, an October 27-28 run at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA, a November 13 concert at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL, and a November 24 set at Aladdin Theater in Portland, OR, among other dates.

The Pogues have announced more U.S. tour plans for 2009. The UK-based rock band has at least one dozen shows slated for October, mostly down the West Coast and across the South. The trek runs from October 10 at Showbox SoDo in Seattle, WA, through October 30 at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX. Along the way, the Pogues will stop for two shows in San Francisco on October 13 at Warfield Theatre and October 14 at the Regency Center. The band is also booked for performances on October 23 at Ogden Theatre in Denver, CO, and October 28 at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheatre, among other dates.
