Living music legend Brian Wilson will be back on the road this fall for a fresh round of U.S. tour dates. The 17-city circuit launches October 23 at Soaring Eagle Casino in Mount Pleasant, MI, and wraps up on December 5 at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe in Stateline, NV.
The six-week trek will focus mostly on markets in the Northeast U.S., though a couple dates have also been booked further west. Highlights include an October 26 show at Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, NJ, a November 6 performance at Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh, PA, and a December 3 gig at Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA.
Public onsales have already started for select concerts on the upcoming tour. Ticketing information for all dates on the U.S. run can be found on Wilson’s official Web site. According to the site, the shows will cover the musician’s greatest hits from his storied career, which began in the early 1960s with the Beach Boys.
Before launching into his U.S. itinerary, Wilson will spend about a week in Europe and the UK for some late summer performances. That schedule picks up August 28 at Valhall Station in Tromso, NOR, and ends with a September 4-6 stand at Stradbally Hall in County Laois, IRE.
Wilson is continuing to tour behind his September 2008 release “That Lucky Old Sun,” which peaked at No. 21 on the Billboard 200. It was the musician’s first studio album since “What I Really Want for Christmas” in 2005 and his first non-seasonal release since the long-awaited and much heralded release of “Smile” in 2004.
The acclaimed musician began touring for the effort in summer 2008, following that brief run of the UK and North America with a month-long tour of the states in November.
