Hot-shot hard rock crew Daughtry, fronted by former American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry, could probably fill arenas and pack amphitheatre lawns across the U.S. But this summer, the chart-dominating juggernaut will pay respect to its fans with a brief and intimate club tour.

The 13-city outing kicks off August 2 at the House of Blues in Lake Buena Vista, FL, and closes August 22 at Pure in Las Vegas, NV. Highlights on the three-week itinerary are an August 8 concert at Vic Theatre in Chicago, IL, an August 14 performance at Warehouse Live in Houston, TX, and an August 19 gig at the Music Box in Los Angeles, CA.

Tickets go on sale to the public starting July 11. A limited number of VIP packages will also be available through a presale, which runs July 8-10.

The band began accepting pre-orders for its forthcoming second studio album “Leave This Town” on June 30, with a limited number of lucky fans getting a little something extra with their purchase. The first 50 fans in each market to complete their pre-order will get a free ticket to the upcoming tour.

“This club tour is a thank you to our fans. It’s a great way for them to see us up close and, more importantly, at a cheap price,” lead singer Daughtry said in a statement.

Daughtry’s namesake band is currently composed of bassist Josh Paul, drummer Joey Barnes, lead guitarist Josh Steely and rhythm guitarist Brian Craddock, who joined the group in 2007.

The band formed in 2006 following the singer’s fourth-place finish on American Idol and released its self-titled debut later that year. The effort topped the Billboard 200 several weeks after its release and has placed on the chart for a current total of 136 weeks. To date, the album has sold more than four million copies in the U.S. and is certified quadruple-Platinum.
