Since claiming the first-ever title of “American Idol” in 2002, Kelly Clarkson has built a strong and varied career for herself in pop music. This fall, the singer and occasional songwriter heads back out on the road for the 32-date All I Ever Wanted Tour.

The autumn outing begins October 2 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, and wraps nine weeks later on December 13 at Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL. Along the way, the singer-songwriter will stop for shows on October 6 at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, NY; October 25 at Fox Theatre in Detroit, MI; November 6 at The Joint in Las Vegas, NV; and December 7 at American Bank Center Arena in Corpus Christi, TX.

The itinerary includes four performance dates in Canada on October 15 at the Casino Rama Entertainment Center in Rama, ON; November 18 at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, BC; November 20 at Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary, AB; and November 22 at Prospera Place in Kelowna, BC.

The first batch of onsales begins August 15, with the remaining ticket sales starting over the following weeks. Australian sister duo The Veronicas and breaking band Parachute will support throughout the fall jaunt.

Clarkson is touring behind her fourth studio album, “All I Ever Wanted,” which lends its name to her upcoming tour. The effort was released on March 6 and was her first to debut atop the Billboard 200 since her chart-topping 2003 debut “Thankful.”

“Even when I’m recording, I’m always thinking about how I’m going to do a song live, what I’ll be able to bring to it,” Clarkson said in a statement on her official Web site. I make records for touring — it’s my favorite part of what I do.”
