Fall dates from Phish and expanded routes for Jay-Z and Queen Latifah are in the mix for the daily tour recap on October 9, as compiled by TicketNews.

They jammed through the spring and summer, now Phish will be back on the road this fall for a fresh batch of U.S. tour dates. Eight cities are on the current late-year itinerary, but a total of 13 performances are slated, including a three-night extravaganza in New York City. The tour launches after Phish’s Halloween weekend festival at Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA.

Also in Indio, dates are surfacing for two of the California locale’s other famed festivals. Dates and some headline acts have been confirmed for the country music-centered Stagecoach Festival (April 24-25), while Billboard revealed that the cross-genre Coachella would hit the Polo Club from April 16-18.

Jay-Z launches his fall 2009 tour of North America tonight, October 9, at Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, PA. On the 26-date calendar are a handful of new additions to the rapper’s routing: October 27 at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, MD; November 8 at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, CA; November 13 at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN; and November 17 at United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, TX. The campus-geared trek wraps its late-year run on November 22 at Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX.

Queen Latifah is also inking new dates for her planned November tour of North America. The hip-hop royalty is geared up for new gigs on November 4 at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA; November 6 at LAX in Las Vegas, NV; November 12 at Antone’s in Austin, TX; November 22 at 9:30 Club in Washington, DC; and November 29 at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL. The first concert on Latifah’s calendar is booked for November 1 at Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC.

Rooney hits the road at the end of this year for one dozen U.S. concerts from coast to coast. The trek launches November 27 at El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, and closes December 20 at Granada Theater in Dallas, TX. The pop rock band is also destined for dates on November 29 at Slim’s in San Francisco, CA; December 2 at El Corazon in Seattle, WA; December 8 at House of Blues in Chicago, IL; December 12 at Cellar Stage at St. John’s in Baltimore, MD; and December 13 at Middle East Downstairs in Cambridge, MA, among other dates.

Days of the New has a pair of Texas shows this weekend, but at the end of the month, the rock band will be on the road for a full end-of-year tour. The trek picks up October 29 at Level Z in melbourne, FL, and concludes December 12 at 4620 Reinvented in Knoxville, TN. Scheduled gigs include October 31 at Brewster’s Pub & Pit in Jacksonville, FL; November 14 at McGuffy’s in Dayton, OH; November 22 at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas, NV; and December 4 at Montage Live Music Hall in Rochester, NY. The Texas shows are inked for tonight, October 9, at Trees in Dallas and October 11 at Gary’s Spot in Tomball.

Billy Talent is all lined up to tour its native Canada next year with a March trek across the provinces. The outing begins March 3 at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, BC, and concludes March 28 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON. Along the way, the punk rock crew will work in stops on March 8 at CN Centre in Prince George, BC; March 15 at Rexall Place in Edmonton, AB; March 19 at Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, SK; and March 24 at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC. The early 2010 calendar currently spans 19 dates.
