It may have taken an extra game, which went to extra innings, but the Minnesota Twins were able to defeat the Detroit Tigers and capture the last spot in the Major League Baseball Playoffs. The win gave the Twins the American League Central Division crown, which came with a free trip to the Bronx and a first round match-up with the heavily favored New York Yankees.

According to data from StubHub, the current average ticket selling price for the ALDS in New York is $170, not too far removed from the $154 average ticket selling price of that in Minnesota. StubHub also reported that in just a couple of hours following the AL Central tiebreaker game, the amount of tickets purchased for the Twins playoff game increased by nine times.

On TicketNetwork, as of just a few hours before first pitch, ticket prices for this evening’s game ranged from $59 obstructed view seats to $1,744 for seats behind the Yankees dugout.
