Coming off one of the team’s worst seasons, which unfortunately happened during the first year at the new Citi Field, the New York Mets today announced the team will lower the price of tickets for the 2010 season, some by as much as 20 percent. On average, most ticket prices will drop by 10 percent, but the team said every season ticket purchase for 2010 will cost less than this year. In an email to current season ticket holders, officials said management will outline other improvements to the team at a later date.
