After a successful reunion tour that spanned 2008 and 2009, comedic partners Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong are restarting their live performance plans.

In early 2010, Cheech and Chong will head out across North America again in 2010 for the new Get It Legal Tour. The duo’s next tour leg begins January 16 at Macky Auditorium Concert Hall in Boulder, CO, and is currently booked through April 30 at Bass Performance Hall in Ft. Worth, TX.

The 17-date outing includes performances on January 23 at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore, MD; February 12 at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, OR; March 26 at State Theatre in Minneapolis, MN; and April 10 at Warner Theatre in Washington, DC.

The first round of ticket sales for the 2010 trek will begin on November 20. Additional onsale and performance dates will be announced in the near future. Shelby Chong, the wife and comedy partner of Chong, will provide support throughout the tour along with DJ Joey Mojo.

The Get It Legal Tour is an extension of Cheech and Chong’s Light Up America reunion tour. The pair has a handful of dates remaining on their 2009 itinerary, which continues November 23 at Oneida Bingo & Casino in green Bay, WI, and wraps November 28 at Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, AZ.

“In 2010, we are looking forward to doing more classic material that people haven’t seen for years and years, performing more of our songs and introducing some new bits,” Chong said in a statement. “We’ve had material brewing separately for the past 25 years.”
