With less than 10 shows left on his current U.S. itinerary, rap star Jay-Z is already looking toward his next trek across the nation.

The chart-topping entrepreneur will take to the streets again in 2010 for the next leg of his BP3 Tour, supporting “The Blueprint 3.” The nearly five-week venture kicks off February 22 at Toyota Center in Houston, TX, and is currently confirmed through a March 26 performance at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

As it stands now, Jay-Z’s 2010 schedule will take him on a coast-to-coast circuit across the U.S. Highlights on his map include concerts on February 25 at New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, LA; March 3 at Verizon Center in Washington, DC; March 11 at TD Garden in Boston, MA; and March 20 at Pepsi Center in Denver, CO.

The current 14-date itinerary will be supplemented in the near future with additional stops in East Rutherford, NJ; Uniondale, NY; Atlantic City, NJ; and Detroit, MI. Specific concert dates and ticketing information for these performances is forthcoming.

Rapper Young Jeezy will open for Jay-Z on all dates of the winter tour leg. The first public ticket sales for the early 2010 concerts will start on November 13.

Jay-Z is currently on the road supporting his eleventh studio album, “The Blueprint 3,” released on September 8. The album, which debuted atop the Billboard 200, is the final installation in the rapper’s “Blueprint” trilogy. Now in its eighth week on the charts, the album is sitting in the No. 10 position and has sold well over one million copies.

The rap mogul’s current North American tour continues tomorrow, November 7, at Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA. The fall outing, featuring a mix of college venues and arenas, wraps at the end of the month on November 22 at Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX.
