Singer-songwriter John Mayer is among the recording artists with a tour highlight in the daily tour recap for November 4, as compiled by TicketNews.

John Mayer recently announced details for his 2010 tour of North America. The extensive 41-date itinerary spans from a February 8 show at North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, SC, through the current closing date of April 10 at United Center in Chicago, IL.

The guitar-slinger and singer will also perform on February 17 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, QC; February 25 at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY; March 6 at Toyota Center in Houston, TX; March 19 at FedExForum in Memphis, TN; March 25 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA; and March 7 at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB.

Mayer has selected Michael Franti & Spearhead as his supporting act for the cross-country run. Most public onsales for the early 2010 outing will begin November 21, preceded by a round of mid-November presales.

ZZ Top will rock across North America again this year with a baker’s dozen of November tour dates. The 13-city trek begins November 10 at Northern Lights Theater in Milwaukee, WI, and concludes with a December 1 event at Pengrowth Saddledom in Calgary, AB. The trio’s late fall fling will primarily hit Canadian markets, but includes its share of U.S. stops. Gigs include November 14 at Four Bears Casino and Lodge in New Town, ND; November 20 at South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton, BC; November 23 at Comcast Arena in Everett, WA; and November 30 at Conexus Arts Centre in Regina, SK.

Passion Pit has a trio of shows in New York planned for the New Year on January 8-10 at Terminal 5 in the Big Apple. But before that venture kicks off, the act will hit a handful of East and West Coast markets on a brief late 2009 tour. In addition to two previously announced holiday radio shows on December 2 at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, NY, and December 4 at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA, Passion Pit also plans to hit the stage on December 8 at Venue in Vancouver, BC, and December 9 at Moore Theatre in Seattle, WA;

Devendra Banhart is staying on the tour trail through the end of 2009 with an international itinerary. His plans pick up on November 16 at Vic Theatre in Chicago, IL, and continue across North America through a November 27 session at Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto, ON. In December, the eclectic musician will head overseas for a new batch of dates lined up from December 1 at Passionskirche in Berlin, GER, through December 20 at Parco della Musica Auditorium in Rome, ITA. European performances are also inked for December 6 at La Cigale in Paris, FRA, and December 11 at Sala Apolo in BArcelona, SPA, among other dates.
